Ladies, you are welcome here, come be a part of Sisters of Strength Women's Ministry!
Women need the friendship, fellowship, and support of other women as we walk in our faith.
The Women's Ministry of Parker Memorial Baptist Church exist to extend the transforming presence of Jesus Christ to women in all life seasons. This Ministry is committed to women's spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study, discipleship, outreach, and by serving those in need with hearts of compassion.
We would love for you to come and join us for many activities offered. We have a Ladies Bible study on Wednesday Nights from 6-7, currently being led by Katie Edwards. It's a great time of learning God's word, talking, sharing, and growing together.
Quarterly, we plan a fun Ladies Event such as a Fashion Show, Southern Ladies Christmas Gathering, Birthday Party for all our ladies, Soup fellowships, just to name a few. At these events we share Jesus, have a devotion, sometimes a guest speaker, play games, door prizes, and get to know each other.
SOS Monthly classes are a fun and great way to learn something, create something, discover something. In the past we have painted, learned macrame, learned how to dig to discover your family history, learned to take care of our car, and even did a gun safety class.
Our ministry leadership is mission minded and takes care of our families if a meal needs to be prepared, if someone just needs a visit, or an encouraging word and so much more. We enjoy helping make a few monthly mission projects happen each year like helping a local school with food for children in need. Our largest mission project is Operation Christmas Child, and we make it a church wide event packing together over 300 boxes to send out to share the gospel with children all over the world.
If you're a lady and missions is your passion, and really it should be a passion for us all let me encourage you to check out Women on Mission. This group of ladies are amazing with all they accomplish doing their mission projects! They truly put the love of Christ into action, showing the love of Christ wherever they go, and in all they do. They meet once a month usually on Mondays @ 10:00 am. They are so well established here that they have their own information center on this site, you should check them out.
