The Opera House where the organizational meeting of the Second Baptist Church was held.

In 1887 Anniston was growing rapidly and it became evident that the residential section of the town was developing toward the eastern side. Forty-five prospective members met in the Opera House to make the necessary preparations for the organization of a new church.
